ENCORE

but the celebration doesn’t have to.

Every high school musical takes months of rehearsals, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart. Encore was created to celebrate all of it.

Launching for the 2026–2027 school year, Encore brings high school musical theatre programs from across Northeastern Pennsylvania together to give the work happening onstage and behind the scenes a bigger moment.

It’s a chance for schools to connect with the wider performing arts community, open new doors for students, and keep the momentum going long after closing night.

The year culminates in the inaugural Encore Showcase at the Scranton Cultural Center on Sunday, April 25, 2027, where participating schools will come together for one big celebration of high school musical theatre in NEPA.

More than a final bow.

Encore gives your school another way to champion its theatre program and the students and educators behind it.

Throughout the year, participating schools will have access to resources, recognition opportunities, and experiences designed to support both students and educators. And because great theatre deserves an audience beyond your own auditorium, Encore gives schools a chance to be seen, connect with peers across the region, and be part of something new in NEPA.

Registration Deadline: November 15, 2026
School Participation Fee: $250

Participation is limited, and schools will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
